Sapporo Musume

Foil confectionery with atmosphere of the city of Sapporo

“Sapporo Musume” is a foil-baked sweet wrapping a whole seet chestnuts. This is made by Senshuan, a long-established confectionery  who is a famous maker of  “Northman” and “Yama-Oyaji” sweets in Sapporo, Hokkaido.

It is wrapped in foil and feels quite heavy.

Looking at the cross section, there is a whole chestnut included. A whole chestnut is surrounded by pasted white bean jam with a smooth texture.

It looks rich volume because of a whole chestnut. Likewise”Northman” and “Yama-Oyaji” , we can enjoy the flavor of western sweets and the taste is simple and delicious, but the flavors combination of both Japanese and Western gives the confectionery atmosphere being in Sapporo.
